Handmade and vintage marketplace statistics.

A sourced reference for writers, collectors, independent makers, and anyone following the online market for distinctive things.

Last updated October 30, 2026. Figures retain the reporting period shown with each source.

A useful place to begin

The market is broad. The good finds are specific.

Dangling Realms makes one-of-a-kind pieces for people who want a room, gift, or collection to feel chosen. This page gathers a small set of primary-source figures that help put the wider handmade, vintage, resale, and online retail marketplace in context.

It is deliberately narrow. There is no reliable public measure for “gothic decor” as a single market, so this reference uses named company filings and government retail data rather than dressing up guesses as facts.

The figures

Six citable marketplace statistics.

Each figure has a permanent page anchor and a direct link to its original source.

Method and sources

Built from original reporting, not market-size guesswork.

All figures above come from the named government release or company report. Marketplace figures are global unless the source says otherwise. “Gross merchandise sales” and “gross merchandise volume” describe the value of goods sold through a platform, not the platform’s revenue.

Sources were checked on October 30, 2026. This page will be refreshed when a major source publishes a newer figure, or at least once a month.
